Dynamic Modeling for Metro Passenger Flows on Congested Transfer Routes

چکیده

With the rapid development of urbanization, metro becomes more and important for people’s travel in big cities. To quantitatively describe passenger flows on congested transfer routes, this paper introduces a dynamic model based automated data from automatic fare collection (AFC) vehicle location (AVL) systems. An expectation maximization (EM) algorithm is proposed to compute maximum likelihood estimates unknown parameters our model. Our can yield systematic analysis one-transfer both population individual aspects. Important characteristics, including time, boarding probabilities, walking passenger-to-train assignment total be inferred using only AFC AVL data. We provide case study Beijing metro. Detailed results are given. also present cross-validation method validate with real

Decoupling Passenger Flows for Improved Load Prediction

This paper continues our work on perturbation analysis of multimodal transportation networks (TNs) by means of a stochastic hybrid automaton (SHA) model. We focus here on the approximate computation, in particular on the major bottleneck consisting in the high dimensionality of systems of stochastic differential balance equations (SDEs) that define the continuous passenger-flow dynamics in the ...

Modeling and simulation of passenger alighting and boarding movement in Beijing metro stations

This paper presents a cellular automata-based alighting and boarding micro-simulation model for passengers in Beijing metro stations. According to observations of passenger alighting and boarding behavior and an analysis of field data collected in three metro stations in Beijing, components of alighting and boarding time and the effects of different group sizes on the alighting and boarding per...

A dynamic network loading model for anisotropic and congested pedestrian flows

A macroscopic loading model for multi-directional, time-varying and congested pedestrian flows is proposed in this paper. Walkable space is represented by a network of streams that are each associated with an area in which they interact. To describe this interaction, a stream-based pedestrian fundamental diagram is used that relates density and walking speed in multi-directional flow. The propo...

Modeling Congested Internet Connections

In this paper, we introduce a continuous-time model aimed at capturing the dynamics of congested Internet connections. The model combines a system of differential equations with a sudden change in one of the state variables. Results from this model show good agreement with the well-known ns network simulator, better than the results of a previous, similar model. This is due in large part to the...
